Description
Mindset affects us every day. Every decision, every choice, every step we take is shaped by a mindset that we may not even be aware of. We have probably all heard (if not used) the expression “I’m just like that.” But how often do we think about the reasons behind that “being”? How much do we recognise our ability to change our mindset, behaviour, habits, and ultimately even our character? These are the questions we examine in the workshop.
Learning outcomes
We get acquainted with the science of mindset, analyse the differences between growth and fixed mindsets, and look at ways to influence and direct our own thinking. Drawing on Carol Dweck’s Mindset and Angela Duckworth’s Grit, we explore the ability to change our own behaviour. Bringing in expertise on habit change from authors such as Charles Duhigg and James Clear, we set a direction for practising mindsets that work better for us.
